The very entertaining Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles will be featured at the Sunday, January 15th Denver Jazz Club Session, from 1:30 to 5pm, at Westminster Elks Lodge. This Denver based vintage jazz band is dedicated to revitalizing swing music and dance. They play big band swing from the late 30’s and early 40’s. Their influences include Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Louis Armstrong, Lucky\u00a0Millinder \u00a0and Jimmie Lunceford. Trumpet player and vocalist Joe Smith started the band in January of 2013 to give dancers live music to swing out to. Come see what the younger generation of swing dancers have been hip to for the last four years! They were a big hit for the club last year!!<\/strong><\/p>\n
