GREAT PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOL MUSICIANS!!!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Annual Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Star Auditions are Taking Place on March 21st<\/sup>\u00a0for High School Musicians who play Tenor Sax, Trombone, Piano, Tuba or Bass, and Drum Set.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE AUDITION MUSIC AND RECORDING HAVE BEEN POSTED AT: <\/strong><\/em>http:\/\/bandresourcesunlimited.com\/downloads\/<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEN WILL AUDITIONS TAKE PLACE?\u00a0<\/strong>Sunday (3-5:30pm), March 21st<\/sup>, at Denver Percussion (7399 S. Tucson Way, Centennial).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED? <\/strong>Some jazz experience is preferred, but not necessary.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MONTHLY CLINICIANS: <\/strong>Professional jazz musicians do clinics from time to time.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

REHEARSALS: <\/strong>Weekly rehearsals take place at Denver Percussion (7399 S. Tucson Way, Centennial), from 2:45 until 5:30pm, each Sunday.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PERFORMANCE GIGS? <\/strong>We feature our band during each monthly Denver Jazz Club session, professional jazz festivals, and performance gigs throughout the area. Past performances have included concert tours to New York City, and international jazz festivals at Montreux, Switzerland; Umbria, Italy; and Kongsberg, Norway.<\/strong><\/em> The Youth All-Stars plan to perform on a summer 2021 concert tour to New Orleans.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SCHOOL CONFLICTS? <\/strong>No performances or rehearsals conflict with school activities.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

COST: <\/strong>Each selected student will be required to become a member of the Denver Jazz Club ($10 yearly fee). The monthly dues (4 weekly sessions) run $165, and are payable at the start of each 4 week period.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WILL PAID GIGS REDUCE FUTURE TRIP COSTS? <\/strong>Any money the band is paid will go toward future trip expenses.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
