Denver Jazz Club’s February 17, 2019 Mardi Gras Celebration with the Queen City Jazz Band

The Queen City Jazz Band will be celebrating Mardi Gras on Sunday, February 17th, from 1:30 until 5pm, at Westminster Elks Club (3850 Elk Drive). Leader Bill Clark plays tuba, with Kevin Bollinger, trumpet; John Bredenberg, clarinet; Eric Staffeldt, trombone; Hank Troy, piano; Rory Thomas, banjo; Tony Pantelis, drums; and vocalist Wende Harston. There will also be a tribute to Jeanne Peterson by the band. Everyone will be invited to enjoy some delicious Mardi Gras cake throughout the afternoon! Don’t miss this very special event!!

Performances will take place, from 1:30 until 2pm, with the UC Denver Claim Jumpers, and the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars will perform between the 2nd and 3rd sets of the Queen City Jazz Band.

Denver Jazz Club’s January 20th Session to Feature Your Father’s Mustache Band to Celebrate Marianne Hayes’ 80th Birthday!

On Sunday, January 20th, from 1:30 to 5pm, it’s the Denver Jazz Club Session at Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Dr), featuring Your Father’s Mustache Band. This will be a free event, since we’ll be celebrating Marianne Hayes’ 80th Birthday! A Hawaiian theme will prevail, with men encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and women to wear their favorite Hawaiian attire.

You can enjoy the terrific sounds of Your Father’s Mustache Band on the 20th! Current band members include: Joe Petrucelli, banjo; Charlie Smith, trumpet; Andrew Vogt, clarinet and baritone sax; Jason Petrucelli, trombone; Ray Leake, Piano; Roger Johns, bass; Jim Moore, drums; and Mike Johnson, washboard.

The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars will perform from 3:50-4:15pm.
