There is info on the January 20th performance of Your Father’s Mustache Band for Marianne Hayes’ 80th Birthday Celebration, and the February 17th Queen City Jazz Band Mardi Gras Performance.

You will find columns by Cliff Dodge, Ed Danielson, Peter Robinson and John Sobott.  Also included are photos from the December Holiday Potluck, and an article about the passing of founding Denver Jazz Club member Jeanne Peterson.

You’ll also find the announcement of the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars upcoming invitational performance at the January 24th opening session of the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic Conference, at the Broadmoor Hotel, in Colorado Springs. Their recent selection to perform at the upcoming Kongsberg, Norway International Jazz Festival is also included.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16TH (1:30-5PM) ANNUAL DENVER JAZZ CLUB HOLIDAY POTLUCK WITH THE HOT TOMATOES DANCE ORCHESTRA!

Be sure to attend the Sunday, December 16th Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:30 until 5:00pm! The Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra will be the featured performance group. It’s a nine piece big band that specializes in swing, dance music, and big band jazz, at home with music for dancers and listeners, playing everything from R & B to Sinatra. They are fantastic, so don’t miss it! The UCD Claim Jumpers perform at 1:30pm, and there will also be a performance by our Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars at approximately 4:00pm. This is the club’s annual holiday potluck, so everyone is asked to provide an entree, salad, appetizer or dessert to share. Admission is $10.00 per person for this special event.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH DENVER JAZZ CLUB SESSION TO FEATURE YOUR FATHER’S MUSTACHE BAND

On Sunday, November 18th, from 1:30 to 5pm, it’s the Denver Jazz Club Session at Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Dr), featuring Your Father’s Mustache Band.

You can enjoy the terrific sounds of Your Father’s Mustache Band! Current band members include: Joe Petrucelli, banjo; Charlie Smith, trumpet; Andrew Vogt, clarinet and baritone sax; Jason Petrucelli, trombone; Ray Leake, Piano; Roger Johns, bass; Jim Moore, drums; and Mike Johnson, washboard.

The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars will perform from 2:50-3:15pm.
