Our Fall sessions will feature two popular bands: On September 15, The Poudre River Irregulars will perform, and October 20, The Queen City Jazz Band returns to entertain us. And the UCD Claim Jumpers are back from summer break!

Join us at the King Center Recital Hall, Auraria Campus, 7:00pm, March 7, as the Claim Jumpers, Dennis and Jerron, romp through an energetic and engaging set of acoustic blues, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley pop songs, 1920s jazz, twin fiddle hoe-downs, and original songs.

There is info on the March 18th performance of the Crystal Swing Band, and the April 15th Annual Ron Cope Rent Party Fundraiser with the Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra, the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars, and the UC Denver Claim Jumpers.
You will find columns by Peter Robinson, Casey Hayes and John Sobott. There is also a tribute to our Denver Jazz Club Treasurer, Walt Hewitt. Scenes from the February Mardi Gras session are included, along with a listing of the contributors to the DJC Youth All-Stars over the past 9 years. There is also info on the Youth All-Stars upcoming invitational performance at New Jersey’s Seton Hall University Jazz Concert Series. 2018-19 DJC Youth All-Star Audition information is outlined as well.
