On Sunday, September 15th be sure to attend the Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:30 until 5:00pm. The UCD Claim Jumpers will open the session, followed by the wonderful sounds of Chaz Bowles and the Summit Hot Seven. Band members include: Chaz Bowles (trumpet/leads), Bill Pontarelli (clarinet), Marti Henry (trombone), Scott Grove (piano), Rory Thomas (banjo/guitar), Roger Johns (bass), and Don Grove (drums). The DJC Youth All-Stars will also perform from 3:50 until 4:15 pm. See you on September 15th!!
The September/October 2013 Denver Jazz Club Newsletter is now available for download. There is info on the September 15th performance of Summit Hot Seven, and the October 20th session, featuring the Queen City Jazz Band.
