On Sunday, January 19th be sure to attend the Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:30 until 5:00pm. It’s the wonderful sounds of A Band with No Name! This potpourri band will consist of: Marti Henry, Trombone; Kevin Bollinger, Trumpet; Bill Ponterelli, Clarinet; Hank Troy, Piano; Tony Pantelis, Drums; Maurie Walker, Banjo; and Bill Clark, Tuba. The UCD Claim Jumpers will perform from 1:30 until 2:00 pm. The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars will also perform from 3:50 to 4:15pm. This will be a preview of their upcoming January 23rd performance at the Broadmoor Hotel! See you on January 19th!!

Be sure to attend the Sunday, December 15th Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:30 until 5:00pm! The Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra will be the main performance group. Current band members include Ted Fulte, drums; Jack LaForte, saxophone; Kevin Bollinger, trumpet; Joe Lopez, Bass; Charlie Smith, trumpet; Jack Fredericksen, saxophone, clarinet & flute; Rich Maul, alto saxophone & clarinet; Dave Wiske, trombone; and Gary Dempsey, piano. Jack, Kevin, Charlie, Rich and Dave double as the band’s vocalists. They are fantastic, so don’t miss it! The UCD Claim Jumpers perform at 1:30pm and there will also be a performance by our very own Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars at approximately 4:00pm. This is the club’s annual holiday potluck, so everyone is invited to provide an entree, salad, appetizer or dessert to share. Admission is $8.00 per person for this special event.
