Queen City Jazz Band’s 60th Anniversary Performance Celebration – Westminster Elks Club – Sunday, October 21st

The Queen City Jazz Band will be celebrating their 60th anniversary on the Sunday, October 21st Denver Jazz Club Session at Westminster Elks Club (3850 Elk Drive). Leader Bill Clark plays tuba, with Kevin Bollinger, trumpet; John Bredenberg, reeds; Eric Staffeldt, trombone; Hank Troy, piano; Rory Thomas, banjo; Tony Pantelis, drums; and singer Wende Harston. Don’t miss this very special event!

Performances will take place from 1:00 until 5pm, with the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars and the UC Denver Claim Jumpers performing pre-concert and alternating sets during the breaks of the Queen City Jazz Band.

Sunday, September 16th Denver Jazz Club Session to Feature the Crystal Swing Band

Be sure to attend the Sunday, September 16th Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:00 until 5:00pm! The Crystal Swing Band will be the featured performance group. They play music of the big band era: Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Harry James and others. Current band members include Kristin Anderson-Bohan, drums, leader; Jenny Schulte, bass; Eric Leonard, piano; Chaz Bowles, trumpet/vocals; Rex Spease, alto sax; and Eric McGregor, tenor sax.

They are fantastic, so don’t miss it! There will also be a performance by the UC Denver Claim Jumpers at 1:00-2:00pm.
