Notes: Performances by the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars in between the sets of the Queen City Jazz Band (Bill Clark, Tuba/Leader; Eric Staffeldt, Trombone; John Bredenberg, Clarinet and Sax; Hank Troy, Piano; Rory Thomas, Banjo; Kevin Bollinger, Trumpet; Tony Pantelis, Drums; and Wende Harston, Vocals), Celebratory cupcakes will be served! Mardi Gras beads and decorations will also be provided!!

The CU Denver Claimjumpers will perform from 1:30 to 2pm. Performances by the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars will take place in between the performance sets of the Queen City Jazz Band.

For the protection of our Denver Jazz Club members and guests: Please be sure you are fully vaccinated. It is required that those attending our monthly sessions at the Westminster Elks Lodge be vaccinated against COVID-19. Those children under the age of 5 are required to wear masks at all times. For club-sponsored student organizations, full vaccinations are required .

Crystal Swing Band to be Featured at the Sunday, January 16th Denver Jazz Club Session at Westminster Elks Lodge

Be sure to attend the Sunday, January 16th Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 2:00 until 5:00pm! The Crystal Swing Band will be the featured performance group. They play music of the big band era: Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Harry James and others. Band members include Kristin Anderson-Bohan, drums, leader; Jenny Schulte, bass; Eric Leonard, piano; ChazBowles, trumpet; Rex Spease, alto sax; and Eric McGregor, tenor sax.

They are fantastic, so don’t miss it! There will also be performances by the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars in between the sets of the Crystal Swing Band.

For the protection of our Denver Jazz Club members and guests: Please bring a copy of your proof of vaccination card, and show it at the entry to the Ballroom. It is required that those attending our monthly sessions at the Westminster Elks Lodge be vaccinated against COVID-19. Those 15 years and younger are required to wear masks at all times. For club-sponsored student organizations, full vaccinations are required for ages 12 and up. The club will keep a record of each member’s vaccination status, so only a one-time check will be needed.
