The Denver Jazz Club will feature Vern Baumer and the Mile High Jazz Gathering on Sunday, June 16th, from 1 until 5pm at Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Dr). The UCD Claim Jumpers perform from 1 to 2pm, and the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars take the stage around 4pm. Clarinetist and vocalist Vern Baumer has been active on the Denver jazz scene since 1970, when he formed his band, the New Orleans Jazz Gathering. Vern has worked with Big Tiny Little, the Summit Ridge Jazz Band, the High Sierra Jazz Band and the Wild Bill Davidson Legacy Band, with Tom Saunders. It promises to be a fun afternoon!
