March/April 2016 Denver Jazz Club Newsletter Is Here!

The March/April 2016 Denver Jazz Club Newsletter is now available for download.

There is info on the March 20th performance of the Crystal Swing Band. The newsletter will also cover the annual Ron Cope Rent Party Fundraiser with the Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra, CU-Denver Claim Jumpers, and Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars on Sunday, April 17th.

Sunday, February 21st Mardi Gras Denver Jazz Club Session to Feature the Queen City Jazz Band

The Queen City Jazz Band will be featured on the Sunday, February 21st Denver Jazz Club Mardi Gras Session. Leader Bill Clark plays tuba, with Kevin Bollinger, trumpet; John Bredenberg, reeds; Eric Staffeldt, trombone; Hank Troy, piano; Rory Thomas, banjo; Tony Pantelis, drums; and singer Wende Harston. Don’t miss this very special event! There will be complimentary Louisiana-style gumbo, and the club will even supply the beads!

The UC Denver Claim Jumpers perform starting at 1:30pm, followed by sets played by the Queen City Jazz Band. The DJC Youth All-Stars perform an abbreviated set around 4pm.

There is info on the January 17th performance of Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles Jazz Band. The newsletter will also cover the annual Mardi Gras Celebration with the Queen City Jazz Band on Sunday, February 21st.
