On Sunday, September 20th be sure to attend the Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:30 until 5:00pm. The UCD Claim Jumpers will open the session, followed by the wonderful sounds of Chaz Bowles and the Summit Hot Seven. This will be a preview for their 2015 Summit Jazz Festival performances. Band members include: Chaz Bowles (trumpet/leader), Bill Pontarelli (clarinet), Marti Henry (trombone), Scott Grove (piano), Rory Thomas (banjo/guitar), Roger Johns (bass), and Don Grove (drums). The DJC Youth All-Stars will also perform a preview of their upcoming Summit Jazz Festival performance, from 3:50 until 4:15 pm. See you on September 20th!!

There is info on the September 20th performance of the Summit Hot Seven. The newsletter will also cover the annual DJC Youth Day with special guest trumpeter, Duke Heitger. This will take place on Sunday, October 18th.
