There is info on the September 20th performance of the Summit Hot Seven. The newsletter will also cover the annual DJC Youth Day with special guest trumpeter, Duke Heitger. This will take place on Sunday, October 18th.

On Sunday, August 16th be sure to attend the Denver Jazz Club Annual Potluck Picnic at the Westerbergs’ Littleton home (310 Shadycroft Drive) from 1:30 until 5:00pm. It’s the entertaining sounds of the Fat City Mardi Gras Band! Musicians in this band, led by tubist Steve Traylor, blend the best of the Fat Tuesday celebration’s music with blues, zydeco, Dixieland, and New Orleans funk. The DJC Youth All-Stars will perform from 1:30 until 2pm, and 3:50 until 4:15 pm. Please bring a dish to share – salad, appetizer, dessert or snack. The Denver Jazz Club furnishes brats, burgers, hot dogs and drinks. See you on the 16th!!
