On Sunday, July 19th be sure to attend the Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:30 until 5:00pm. It’s the wonderful sounds of Your Father’s Mustache Band! Current band members include: Joe Petrucelli, banjo; Charlie Smith, trumpet; Andrew Vogt, clarinet; Jason Petrucelli, trombone; Ray Leake, Piano; Roger Johns, bass; Jim Moore, drums; and Mike Johnson, washboard. Mary Kelly may be singing!
The theme for this session is the roaring 20’s! Everyone is encouraged to wear clothing from that period. There may also be several antique cars in the parking lot. The UCD Claim Jumpers will perform from 1:30 until 2:00 pm, and the DJC Youth All-Stars from 3:50 until 4:20pm. This will be the final performance of our 2014-15 youth band! See you on July 19th!!

There is info on the July 19th performance of Your Father’s Mustache Band. The theme for the session will be the roaring 20’s and everyone is encouraged to wear clothing from that period. There may also be several antique cars in the parking lot to look at.
The newsletter will also cover the annual potluck picnic, including the performance of the Fat City Mardi Gras Band on Sunday, August 16th. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share – salad, appetizer, dessert or snack. The Denver Jazz Club furnishes brats, burgers, hot dogs and drinks.
You will also find columns by the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars, Peter Robinson and John Sobott. The Evergreen Vintage and Summit Jazz Festivals are also announced, along with info on upcoming piano auditions to fill the vacancy within the DJC Youth All-Stars.
