The March/April 2013 Denver Jazz Club Newsletter is now available for download. There is info on the March 17th performances of the Crystal Swing Band and the CU-Denver Claim Jumpers, as well as the April 21st Annual Ron Cope Fundraiser session featuring the Hot Tomatoes, Queen City Jazz Band, CU-Denver Claim Jumpers, and the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars.

March 17th Session to feature the Crystal Swing Band and UC Denver Claim Jumpers from 1:30 until 5pm

Be sure to attend the Sunday, March 17th Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 2:00 until 5:00pm! The Crystal Swing Band will be the performance group. Current band members include Kristin Anderson-Bohan, drums, leader; Jenny Karel, bass; Del Mollenhauer, piano; Chaz Bowles, trumpet; Rex Spease, alto sax; and Roger Topliff, tenor sax. They are fantastic, so don’t miss it! There will also be a performance by the UC Denver Claim Jumpers at 1:30pm.

DJC Youth All-Stars Announce Their Sunday, June 9th Benefit Concert Early Bird Discounted Ticket Sales!

Early Bird Tickets are now on sale (through April 30th) for our benefit concert at Ziggies on Sunday, June 9th from 3 until 6pm ($20 Adults; $10 Students; Children under 10 are Free; and Corporate Tables for a max of 10 people cost $400); Regularly Priced Admissions sold after April 30th will cost: $25 Adults; $15 Students; $10 Children under 10; and $500 Corporate Tables for a max of 10 people; and Admissions sold at the door will cost an additional $5. All proceeds will help us meet our goal of performing at the 2013 Montreux, Switzerland International Jazz Festival this coming July! 16 professional musicians will be invited to join the All-Stars for this concert. So far we have commitments from:
