Annual Ron Cope Rent Party Fundraiser with the Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra on Sunday, April 10th (1:00-5pm, Westminster Elks Lodge)

On Sunday, April 10th be sure to attend the Denver Jazz Club Session at the Westminster Elks Lodge from 1:00 until 5:00pm! It’s the annual Ron Cope Scholarship Benefit featuring the Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra. They are a nine piece big band that specializes in swing, dance music, and big band jazz, at home with music for dancers and listeners, playing everything from R & B to Sinatra. The Ron Cope Scholarship was named for the late pianist and founder of the Hot Tomatoes, Ron Cope (who also led the UCD Claim Jumpers). The Denver Jazz Club is happy to continue this tradition each year with one of Denver’s most popular bands (donating their performance)!

The Claim Jumpers will perform until 2pm, followed by the Hot Tomatoes for the duration of the day. The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars will perform two abbreviated sets in between the sets of the Hot Tomatoes. It will be a wonderful day of jazz, so don’t miss it! See you on April 10th!!
