THE DJC YOUTH ALL-STARS ARE LOOKING FOR A DEDICATED HIGH SCHOOL GUITAR, BASS OR BANJO PLAYER, OR A HIGH SCHOOL/MUSICIAN INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO PLAY BANJO (Professional instrument is free for the selected student while they’re in the band, and some free private lessons are also provided)!

WHEN WILL INTERESTED MUSICIANS BE INVITED TO SIT IN AT REHEARSAL(S)? Sunday, July 15th (6:30-9pm), at Denver Percussion (7399 S. Tucson Way, Suite B2, Centennial), and additional Sundays, until the position is filled.
 
WHAT EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED? None
 
MONTHLY CLINICIANS: Professional jazz musicians do clinics from time to time.
 
REHEARSALS: Weekly rehearsals take place at Denver Percussion, usually from 6:15 until 9:00 pm, each Sunday.
 
PERFORMANCE GIGS? We feature our band during each monthly Denver Jazz Club session, professional jazz festivals, and performance gigs throughout the area. The Youth All-Stars will be performing at the 2018 Evergreen and Sacramento, California Hot Jazz Jubilee Festivals!
 
SCHOOL CONFLICTS? No performances or rehearsals conflict with school activities.
 
COST: Each selected student will be required to become a member of the Denver Jazz Club ($10 yearly fee). The monthly dues (4 weekly sessions) run $140, and are payable at the start of each month.
 
WILL PAID GIGS REDUCE FUTURE TRIP COSTS? Starting on August 1st, any money the band is paid will go towards future trip expenses.
