July-August Denver Jazz Club Newsletter Has Arrived!

March-April 2019 Denver Jazz Club Newsletter is Available for Download

There is info on the March 17th performance of The Crystal Swing Band and the April 14th Annual Ron Cope Rent Party Fundraiser, with the Hot Tomatoes, DJC Youth All-Stars and UCD Claimjumpers. Because of Easter Sunday, our club date will be the second Sunday in April.

You will find columns by Casey Hayes, Ed Danielson and Peter Robinson.  Also included are bass or tuba, piano and drum set audition information for the 2019-20 DJC Youth All-Stars, a thank you for contributors to our youth band over the past 10 years, and an article about the passing of founding Denver Jazz Club member Nelson Cox.

January-February 2019 Denver Jazz Club Newsletter is Available for Download

There is info on the January 20th performance of Your Father’s Mustache Band for Marianne Hayes’ 80th Birthday Celebration, and the February 17th Queen City Jazz Band Mardi Gras Performance.

You will find columns by Cliff Dodge, Ed Danielson, Peter Robinson and John Sobott.  Also included are photos from the December Holiday Potluck, and an article about the passing of founding Denver Jazz Club member Jeanne Peterson.

You’ll also find the announcement of the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars upcoming invitational performance at the January 24th opening session of the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic Conference, at the Broadmoor Hotel, in Colorado Springs. Their recent selection to perform at the upcoming Kongsberg, Norway International Jazz Festival is also included.
